One Duck Down

7000 Rubber Ducks. 7 Seas. 1 Big Adventure.

Inspired by a true tale (featured on Blue Planet II) that saw 7000 Rubber Ducks cast adrift in a mighty storm, One Duck Down is a puppet-packed, song-filled story that teaches its audience, young and old, about the importance of keeping our oceans clean. This eco-friendly swashbuckler would make David Attenborough proud.

WINNER of Family Show of the Year at VAULT Festival 2018.

One Duck Down

This swashbuckling adventure sees lovable paperboy Billy set sail on an adventure to collect 7,000 rubber ducks lost at sea. During his quest, Billy befriends a host of marine critters – from Gassy the whale, who’s got a belly full of plastic, to Scuzzy the Rock ‘n’ Roll polar bear who’s running out of ice. Packed full of original songs, puppetry, up-cycled set and props, and silly sword-fighting, the show will have kids and parents alike laughing along while raising awareness about ocean pollution.

One Duck Down premiered at the 2018 VAULT Festival, where it won Family Show of the Year. Since then the show has since toured the U.K., including appearances at the Lyric Hammersmith, Pleasance Courtyard, Hightide Festival, Paines Plough Roundabout, Greenwich Theatre, Pleasance Islington, Aylesbury Waterside and a long list of other regional venues, schools and community centres.
